Welcome to Dove - Biblical Affirmations, a free app (“the App”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Purpose of the App

The App is designed to provide encouragement, reflection, and inspiration through Bible-based affirmations. Content is intended for personal, spiritual reflection only. The App does not provide medical, psychological, or professional counseling advice.

2. Eligibility

  • You are at least 13 years old, or
  • You have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

By using the App, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. User Accounts

The App may create an anonymous user identifier to support features such as personalization, favorites, streak tracking, and usage analytics. You are responsible for any activity associated with your use of the App.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the App only for lawful and intended purposes. You may not:
  • Attempt to access or modify data that does not belong to you
  • Interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to bypass safeguards
  • Misuse the App in a way that could harm others or the service

5. Content Disclaimer

  • Affirmations are inspired by Scripture but are not a replacement for reading the Bible itself.
  • Scripture references may vary by translation.
  • The App does not claim ownership of biblical texts.
  • Content is provided “as is” without guarantees of accuracy, completeness, or suitability for a specific purpose.

6. Scripture Content and Licensing

The App uses the YouVersion API to access Scripture references and related content. We have a license to use the YouVersion API and its content in the App in accordance with their terms.

7. Intellectual Property

All App content, design, branding, and original affirmations are owned by or licensed to the App developer, unless otherwise noted. You may view and use content for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, redistribute, or sell App content or use it for commercial purposes without permission.

8. Availability and Changes

We may update or modify App features, add or remove content, or suspend or discontinue the App at any time. We are not liable for any interruption or loss of access.

9. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how information is collected and used. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law: the App is provided “as is” and “as available”. We are not responsible for any damages resulting from use or inability to use the App, including data loss, interruptions, or reliance on App content.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App if these Terms are violated or if misuse is detected.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
